Dr Andy Buchanan (AU) is an independent artist and scholar, previously a professor of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University, specializing in digital animation production and animation theory. Buchanan is best known for his sculptural morphing animation installations. Research interests include digital metamorphosis, experimental digital animation techniques and digital sculpture. His work has been shown at the Sydney Film Festival, Experimenta Biennial, ISEA, The National Gallery of Victoria, White Night, and at other national and international animation and projection art events.
