Margarita Köhl (AT) is a transdisciplinary researcher and artist working at the intersection of arts, eco-social as well as science and technology studies, recently focusing on the role of affect in more-than-human relationships. She holds a PhD in Communication Studies and an MA in Arts & Cultural Management, East Asian Studies, and Art History. She is head of the Department of Design at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, Austria. She has a wide range of international experience in research and teaching (University of Vienna, Austria; National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan; Silpakorn University, Thailand; Japan; Dokkyo Daigaku, Japan).
David Altweger (AT) is an artist, director, researcher currently teaching and working at the University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg. Drawing from a wide range of international work experiences, his hugely varied body of work sits at the intersections of video, sound and performance. He has been producing short films, music videos, immersive installations, both commercially and within a fine art context.
In their recent work Koehl and Altweger have a strong focus on science communication and transdisciplinary collaborative practices in the context of systemic design – and the development of situated curricula, which integrate a post-humanist, intersectional world view into the design process.
