Franziska Bruckner (Salzburg, AT, 1981) studied theater-, film- and media studies at the University of Vienna as well as painting and animation at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She currently works as lecturer for animation theory at the University of Vienna, Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and HFG Offenbach/Main. She is co-coordinator of the AG Animation within the German-speaking Society of Media Studies and board member of ASIFA-Austria. Her main research and publications focus on animation, experimental film relations between fine arts and film.
