Verena (AT) is a transdisciplinary visual artist, exploring different technologies and their interplay in a rather explorative and playful approach. While studying Graphic Design at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna, a pivotal year in Portugal sparked her deep interest in film, animation, and moving images.
Apart from her work as an animator for the austrian broadcast ORF, she works as a freelance graphic- and motion designer, while also creating audiovisual installations for exhibitions or working on collaborative performances with musicians and other artists. She also teaches high school students through semester-long workshops and has conducted engaging seminars at universities.
Her artistic work is characterized by a harmonious blend of color and form, creating a unique visual language that underpins her artistic expression. She explores the complexities of the human experience, delving into themes of life, love, death, and the intricate connections that bind us. Her art captures the unspoken and universal aspects of humanity, conveying the essence of what it means to be human.
